In the Summer of 2007, The Cedar Creek battlefield hosted an event which was opened only to a select few; Down the Valley - Jackson's 1862 Campaign. The 145th Anniversary of the Battle of First Winchester. A purposely small and intense event, it was "offered only to the best campaign and garrison reenactors". It was nonetheless a rare opportunity to get some excellent footage of Civil War re-enactors in a very realistic expression of their hobby... Going in columns through the woods, woods fighting, and everyone seemingly far more realistic than at a normal event. These are the basically the unedited footages which were compiled for the reenactors who later enjoy watching themselves to 'see what they did' that day... Confederate Pictures tagged along, and got a great deal of the event as it unfolded...
